Vedic Astrology tells us that...............

· Mercury came out of debilitation on 09 May 2004, moving into Aries

· Venus has progressed to Gemini, a sign owned by Mercury since 6 May

· Jupiter has been in the constellation (Nakshatra) of Venus and will continue to be there till Aug 11

· That is also the time when Mercury starts retrograde again

· The common element stringing all the 3 planets, Jupiter, Venus & Mercury is GOLD

· It will be on the upward climb again till Aug 11, 2004 at least

· Inversely, this can be read that the USD will fall, especially against the Japanese Yen after hitting a high of 114/115 this month.

· A good chance for the Aussie Dollar to remain stable and even rise leading to Aug 11

· The other tangible indicators of this are:

· The falling of theDOW to below 10000 points to around 8000 points (plus/minus 1000 points)

· The continued weaking of the American economy toward 08/11

· Deficits in the US Bank and Treasury Bills

· The US election platform will see a persuasive alternative

· The mistakes made in Iraq predicted in the previous News Extra would contribute to this

· The prediction that war would be waged has happened

· That this would be a long drawn war that would not be concluded quickly has also come to pass

· With some estimates are looking at 2006 date for the termination of the war if George W Bush remains in power

· This will be discussed in the next News Extra

· George W Bush needs to be less "gung-ho" at the risk of losing the November US Presidential elections

· Tony Blair is "hanging on to his last ounce of support" because of this

· John Howard needs to revamp his act to stay in power following the 2004 Australian Federal elections

Saturn enters America’s rising sign on Apr 8, 2003, whilst Jupiter leaves it’s 2^nd placement on Jul 30, 2003. USA has to secure enough support of the free world to attack Iraq inside this period.

· Even if it fails to secure this during this period, it will still attack Iraq with its’ staunchest supporter, the United Kingdom. If it fails to get the support of the majority of the free world during this period, it will definitely not get it after Jul 30, 2003.

· George Bush had obtained presidency of the United States under doubtful electoral voting procedures principally in the state of Florida. So far, he has managed to detract the minds of the masses in USA to focus on war instead of the economy.

· For the past one year after May 2002, the American dollar had remained strong despite the DOW weakening massively to the 8000 level. The reasons for its’ strength especially against the Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar and the Euro seem to be a little mystifying.

· War with IRAQ can and looks likely to be effected between Apr 8 and Jul 30, 2003,because this is the only time the world can see the glorification of the USA.

· The immediate response to the war will be positive to the might of USA, and stockpile of oil reserves for at least 3 months bolster this even further. The countries without oil reserves like Japan, South East Asia, particularly the industrialised counties like Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong will suffer quite drastically from the after effects of the war. Oil prices will of course first rise especially leading up to and immediately after the actual war. These have started to spiral even now. Then with time, thanks to the contributions of Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, oil prices will slowly start to stabilise after that.

· The USA economy will start to deteriorate even further after Jul 8, 2003 for approximately a year, when the DOW would hit a minimum of 7000 points or even below. The countries that are not dependent on oil, particularly Canada and Australia will do relatively well, despite the war. The Australian Dollar has appreciated from a low of 46 cents to almost 64 cents to the USA dollar over the past 2 years. It will remain strong and so will the Canadian dollar. For the first time since the inception of the EURO, we will see it come on par with the USA Dollar, and might rise even more.

USA will experience other problems like loss of support from some of it’s allies, and internationalisolation. The economy will be taken to task by the effects of the war because it will not be a short and sweet victory but one that drags on indefinitely.
